About Goldfields Basketball Association
The Goldfields Basketball Association (GBA) is the home of basketball in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the wider Goldfields region.
With a proud history dating back to the 1950s, basketball has grown to become one of the region’s largest participation sports. Today, GBA provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved, from first-time players and junior development programs through to senior domestic competitions and elite pathways.
Our local domestic competition is supported by clubs, coaches, referees, volunteers and families from across the community, while our representative pathways give talented junior players the opportunity to develop and compete at a higher level.
At the top of our pathway are the Goldfields Giants, our men’s and women’s teams competing in NBL1 West and proudly representing the Goldfields on the state and national stage.
